Oxfam works with a constellation of actors in developing countries to support local producers, to advocate for pro-poor market rules, and to promote products and services that benefit the poor. The Senior Advisor will help generate, develop, and scale these interventions across Oxfam’s lines of work.

4. Advisor, Program Quality, Evaluation & Learning: The Advisor, Program Quality, Evaluation & Learning is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and promoting cross-departmental learning for all of Oxfam’s private sector engagement. The Advisor will play a central role in strategy development, ensure quality in planning and execution, and manage systems to expand the impact, reach, and effectiveness of the PSD’s work.

5. Advisor, Regional Support and Capacity Building: The Advisor, Regional Support and Capacity Building will work with Oxfam’s regional offices in Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia to build their capacity to analyze markets and actors, evaluate opportunities, and engage the private sector. The Advisor will develop new training materials, conduct workshops, and support Oxfam’s various campaigns, partnerships, and market reform efforts.

6. Research Associate: The Research Associate will coordinate, support, and strengthen Oxfam’s research and analysis around markets and private sector actors. The PSD undertakes a wide range of research to support campaigns and programmatic work on such issues as extractive industries, climate change, food and ag systems, trade, business and human rights, regulatory regimes and market distortions. The Research Associate will help strengthen research protocols, conduct and disseminate research, and coordinate and monitor commissioned research projects from paid consultants, graduate students, and pro bono professionals.

7. Coordinator: The Coordinator will support the overall planning, coordination and administration of the PSD. Responsibilities will cover a mix of substantive and administrative tasks.

• Creating and maintaining a greater sense of visibility for IBLF in the region – including with government networks
• Be an active part of IBLF’s regional hub (coordinated by IBLF’s Director, Marketing & Business Development), linking to colleagues in other regions (Russia / FSU, SE Asia and Americas) and UK based colleagues with responsibility for other regions (Africa, Europe, Middle East)
• Maintain a close working relationship to IBLF’s CEO – coordinating visits and contacts with key corporates in the region, on his behalf

Competencies (skills, experience and characteristics)
• Senior professional with experience of working with or in business and gravitas for representing an organization
